EDGE OF DECAY “Haute Couture” tape
2024, Freak Animal presents tape by Edge Of Decay, one of the major forces in Finnish noise activity. Man behind the Finnish noise documentary, organizer of gigs and so on, but also noise artists. Harsh and blunt works has been published formerly by Freak Animal as well as multiple labels worldwide.
GENETIC WOUNDS “Futile Efforts” tape
2024 Finnish noise. Project known from Terässinfonia series, based in Lahti Finland, offers electronics, fairly old school type of noise, that has the weird 90’s vibe in it. Not resembling the idea many people have from the 90’s, as if it was this neat one thing, but more like tape filled with various approaches, and very little of it fits into any niche sub-genre. It gets harsh, occasionally sounds more like instrumental out-takes of Con-Dom war against society with loud flangers, occasional field recordings. Little bit of many things that made Genetic Wounds stand out among many “too nice” noise release!
